There hasn't been anything that has stood out to me as being unique from other schools. My school does focus a lot of time and resources towards the football team. While this encourages students and the community to be united, it also takes away from the students to a large extent. The sport becomes a fixation of many students and causes a lack of concentration on studies as well as a total devotion of resources by the school. The school spent well over $300,000 on football related activities the last two years alone. These funds could have helped so many people in my community dealing with other struggles or even improving the academic programs. I would like to see a change in the priorities and a feeling of truly being supported during my learning experience at my high school.... The school for the bad kids, no the people just have troubled pasts, and yet none of them smoked more than the kids in the actual high school, and they bully people more than we do here....
